Human rights, accountability, and public interest-in practice

What We Do

RightsFocus Canada is an independent public-interest platform dedicated to examining human rights, accountability, and the the real-world impact of laws and policies on people living in Canada.

Where We Focus

We focus on issues where rights are most vulnerable-including Indigenous rights, LGBTQ+ rights, immigration and refugee protections, seniors' rights, workplace harm, and the treatment of marginalized and religious minority communities.

How We Work

Our work is grounded in the principle that human rights are not abstract idels, but practical protections that shape people's safety, dignity, and the opportunity in everyday life

Our Approach

  • Evidence over outrage
  • Public interest over partisanship
  • People over institutions
  • Analysis over assumption
  • Accountability over optics
